The mockingbird is the state bird of Texas, Rustler. It's a pretty little bird for all its plain plumage. Mockers don't have a "song" of their own, but combine the songs of up to 30 other birds to create something unique and quirky: Each mocker's song is as individual as the bird that sings it. In that way -- and in the way they're fierce defenders of their turf -- mockingbirds are much like Texans. :-)
